Set Up Call Forwarding From Your Home Phone or Online

Introduction   Forward all incoming calls to another phone number with Call Forwarding, or designate certain incoming phone numbers to be forwarded with Selective Forwarding.
     
How you forward calls depends on your Comcast® subscription, but in general you can use your home phone or go online.
Note: For Call Forwarding and Selective Forwarding, enter 1 plus the area code if it is necessary to call the "forward to" number. When you create a Selective Forwarding list, enter the area code plus the 7-digit number for all numbers (both local and long-distance).
  Call Forwarding  
To activate Call Forwarding from your home telephone - Option 1:
 
  • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial *72 and wait to hear the dial tone again.
  • Dial the number where you'd like to have your calls forwarded. (Remember to dial 1 and/or the area code before the number.)
  • A courtesy call will be placed to the number.
  • If the party answers, the feature is activated. If the number is busy or no one answers, repeat steps 1-3 within 2 minutes, and you will hear a confirmation tone that the feature has been activated.

 To activate Call Forwarding from your home telephone - Option 2:

 
  • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  • Press *72 and immediately dial the number where you'd like to have your calls forwarded. (Remember to dial 1 and/or the area code before the number if it's necessary to place the call.)
  • Listen or the confirmation that the feature has been activated.
  • If you want to change the "forward to" number, just repeat steps 1-3.

 To deactivate Call Forwarding from your home telephone:

 
  • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  • Press *73.
  • You will hear a confirmation message that Call Forwarding has been deactivated.
 
To activate Call Forwarding online if you have both XFINITY® Voice and XFINITY® Internet:
 
  • Go to XFINITY® Connect.
  • Select the Email icon.
  • Enter your primary Comcast User ID and pa**word.
  • Go to the Preferences tab, select Call Manager, then Call Forwarding.
  • Click the phone number you want calls forwarded from and check the Call Forwarding box.
  • Enter the telephone number where you want your calls forwarded.
  • Click Save.
To activate Call Forwarding online if you have XFINITY Voice only:
 
  • Go to xfinity.com.
  • Select the Voice icon.
  • Log into the Digital Voice Center using your telephone number and voicemail pa**code.
  • Click Preferences.
  • Click Forward Calls.
  • Check the Forward All Calls To box.
  • Either select a telephone number from the dropdown box or enter a telephone number in the Other Number box. Make sure the correct radio button is selected.
  • Click Save.
Selective Call Forwarding  
To activate Selective Call Forwarding from your home telephone:
 
  • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  • Press *63.
  • A menu will guide you through this feature.
 
To deactivate Selective Call Forwarding from your home telephone:
 
  • Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  • Press *83.
  • When prompted, press 3 to turn the feature off.
To activate Selective Call Forwarding online if you have both XFINITY Voice and XFINITY Internet:
 
  • Go to XFINITY Connect.
  • Select the Email icon.
  • Enter your primary Comcast User ID and pa**word.
  • Go to the Preferences tab, select Call Manager, then Call Forwarding.
  • Check the Selective Forwarding box.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Enter the telephone numbers you want forwarded.
  • Click the Add button again.
  • Enter the number where you want your calls forwarded.
  • Click Save.
