« on: September 21, 2014, 08:12:24 AM »
The home screen gives you all your latest information in one place. It’s what you see when you turn on the smartphone or touch Home from a menu.

Change the wallpaper
Change your wallpaper whenever you like. You can select from Live (animated) wallpapers, standard wallpapers, or pictures from your Gallery.

[LIST=1]
  • Touch and hold any blank space on your Home screen
  • Select the desired option (Gallery, Live Wallpapers, Wallpapers)
  • Browse through the choices, touch the picture to use, and then touch Set wallpaper
Add an item to the Home screen
You can add the following types of items to the Home screen.

Widgets
Add any of a variety of preloaded miniature applications (widgets) to your Home screen. You can also download widgets from Google Play.

1. Touch Apps
2. Touch Widgets at the top of the screen
3. Select a widget, then touch and hold it until it vibrates. The home screen layout will appear and when the widget is released it will show on the home screen
Note: Following a software update, you may need to reinstall certain Widgets.

Folders
Add a folder to organize Home screen items, or folders that contain all your contacts, contacts with phone numbers, or starred contacts. Your folders’ contents are kept up to date automatically. To create a folder, touch and hold an app icon until you feel a vibration. Then drag that app icon onto another one. Repeat with any other app icons you want to place in the same folder. To name that folder, touch the icon grouping, then touch Unnamed Folder. Type in the name of the folder then touch Done.

All help topics / How do I take a screen shot of my phone's screen?
« on: September 21, 2014, 07:53:54 AM »
Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words. Share a screen capture of your favorite playlist, or your new high score. Forward a screen capture of a friend’s contact information. If you can see it on your smartphone, you can share it with your friends.

To capture your phone’s screen, press and hold both the Power and Volume down key for three seconds, or until you hear the camera shutter click.

To see the screen image, touch Apps > Gallery > Screenshots

Touch and hold the image for files and sharing options, which will be at the bottom of the screen.

All help topics / What is safe mode and how do I use it?
« on: September 21, 2014, 07:41:08 AM »
Safe mode starts the device without any 3rd party applications being started. This will allow you to open apps individually to try and determine which app may be causing the issue.

Tips:
  • Begin by looking for specific application types such as launchers, task killers or anti-virus apps.
  • Application icons will still appear the same on the home screen or within the Apps menu. Apps will launch if you select the icon to activate, they will not automatically launch.
  • You may be required to re-add accounts such as Facebook and LinkedIn after initiating Safe mode. (Settings > + Add Account)
To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press the Power key
2. Touch and hold Power off
3. Touch OK when Reboot to safe mode appears
4. Phone will reboot and Safe Mode will appear in bottom left corner
5. While in Safe Mode, launch apps one at a time to identify the app causing the problem.
6. Remove the app that causes the problem from the device.

To remove an application:
Touch > Play Store > Menu > My apps

Touch the application that you want to remove
Touch Uninstall, then confirm by touching OK.
After you have identified and removed the application simply power cycle the device to disable safe mode.
